Nailing Jello to the Wall

For 15 years in the ministry I was Premillennial-Sort-of-Dispensational (in the same strand as MacArthur who claims to be a Leaky-Dispensationalist). I preached that there would be a secret Rapture of the church followed by the Great Tribulation followed by a Millennium.

I have discovered that most of the time when someone says that I am misrepresenting Dispensationalism it is because they are frustrated with the fact I know as much about it than any of them — because I was one.

And by the way, Dispensationalism has a built-in escape hatch for all of its proponents. When they get frustrated with trying to defend it, they simply claim that their opponent either doesn’t understand Dispensationalism or that they are misrepresenting it. Their accusation sounds reasonable ONLY because it is actually impossible for anyone to represent or explain Dispensationalism fully in any one conversation because there are endless strands of Dispensationalism. It morphs almost yearly these days which is why they hold conferences filled with seminars on “Trial Balloon” attempts to explain and define Dispensationalism.

So as someone who knows as much about Dispensationalism as most Dispys, I will continue to do my best to cut to the chase and do my little part in bringing Dispensationalism to the end of its days. My goal is not to reach Thomas Ice or Robert Thomas. But I truly care about this generation, and I will speak up as often as I need until we see the Church in America recover from the 120 year theological diversion known as Dispensationalism.
