Now I’m Mad

Although I love American politics, I hadn’t really been enthusiastic about our presidential candidates this time. I had made up my mind a while back about who I will vote for in this election, and the Saddleback forum really helped me feel more confident about my choice.

Last Friday I was surprised and impressed with McCain’s VP pick; it was a brilliant political choice. Just consider this: both tickets are historical; this election will be one of the most famous in American history no matter who wins!

THEN… then the media viciously attacked Sarah Palin in ways that caused my blood-pressure to hit the boiling point. What CNN and MSNBC and online sites are saying about Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter and Sarah Palin’s motherhood is more than appalling to me. This type of talk about someone is specifically condemned in the Bible as a sin. It is not just tough political speech; it is evil.

I AM NOW AN ANGRY VOTER.

In the last few days, I have heard the most evil forms of character assassination, and lies, and gossip that has ever entered into American Presidential politics. And it is apparent that the hate-machine has only just cranked up.

I am now looking forward to pulling the lever for the McCain/Palin ticket. I’m charged up! I am not just against one candidate; I am for someone in this election.

Thanks, media, for finally showing your true vitriol towards conservatives, Christians, and true women. You have made this the most exciting election I have ever witnessed in my life so far. Finally… American politics has become interesting again!!
