Only 79 days left till kickoff !!
And this weekend LSU Baseball is back in Omaha for the College World Series.
Baseball America has a great story about LSU’s improbably 6-5 win over Rice on Tuesday. Great quote: “I know Blake was looking for a fastball out over the plate, and as smart as he is, I’ve seen him go to the opposite field with power before,” [LSU Coach]Mainieri said. “He put a beautiful swing on the ball and I thought it was going to leave the ballpark. When I saw it hit the wall, all I did was shift my eyes to Jared Mitchell, and all I could see was a blur going around the bases. I think if (third-base coach) Cliff (Godwin) had tried to hold him up, he’d have run through him like a defensive back for Alabama.

GEAUX TIGERS!!! 21-7, That was some baseball game!
Sorry, Jason, but my Tar Heels are gonna put you in the losers bracket this weekend.
My alma mater made it in after beating three ranked teams along the way – ASU being the last victim. Our ace pitcher is out for the season and has been down for about one month. Without him we are facing an uphill battle. Rice normally has great pitching. However, we are coming in playing the best we have all year. It should be interesting in Omaha.
Go Fresno State!
I see that LSU trackletes are tearing up the NCAA Championships, as well! Must be all that Cajun cookin’ down there!
Matt P., you were right: NC beat LSU 8-4 today!
Hope the Baseball coach doesnt get “Brady’d”.
How come you guys never talk about how he was treated?
How ’bout them Fresno State Bulldogs?
Jason, for the record, is was Lee Shelton III who sent you these pics. I’m the fourth, and no, there won’t be a fifth. Too confusing.
Well, no LSU v. Fresno State match up. Maybe next year.
How ’bout them Fresno State Bulldogs?

Tonight is the big night, Rich. This should be exciting!
It’s a bummer we did not hold on to the lead on Monday – gave up 4 in the bottom of the 8th and lost 7-6. But this team is calm and under control. The coach has done an amazing job in keeping them focused. Last night was like a football game. Tonight will be exciting no matter who wins.
Well, my Dogs did it! What an amazing run. Now onto football – at Rutgers, at UCLA, Wisconsin at home, at Toledo, then the WAC.
LSU opens against Appalachian State. We will not make the mistake Michigan made… trust me.
