Although I voted for LSU, I was really surprised that USC got only 6.2 thusfar. They always seem to be the media favorite despite the SEC’s dominance.
And USC is a close second….
Funny, I didn’t even know Louisiana had the internet…
So Jason, how many times did you vote?
considering 75,000 plus votes I was a little surprised at the overall vote. I think LSU deserves it hands down, but I would have thought USC would have been higher.
man i hate the University of Spoiled Children but i did vote for them b/c when in a couple of years when we’ve pretty much forgotten about LSU and Jamarcus Russell has become a total waste of everyones time, Matt Leinart will be putting up good numbers in Arizona and Reggie Bush will be bringing the Saints to the playoffs and possibly fighting for some MVPs. So that being said USC is unfortunately the team that will be remembered. Also USC has won 6 bowl games since ’03 and LSU has 3 since ’03 and 4 since ’02. Given USC is 5-1 and LSU is 4-0 but my vote is still with USC and it kills me to say that.
Big Jimmy,
While you are talking about what Reggie and Matt might do, you should not forget what Joseph Addai and Kevin Faulk and Randall Gay and Jarvis Green and Eric Alexander and Cory Webster already have done. Count the rings! Green and Faulk both have three Super Bowl rings to their credit, Addai has one from last year and Webster has one from this year, while Gay and Alexander have been a part of two championships.
touche
Annoying – Univ of Super Cheaters was credited for 2 nat’l championships?!?!? Um, that would be 1. They *played* for 2, lost once.
