Well take to Joel Osteen to close out this year with a pro Mormon quote. I have been wary of placing Joel into the heretic camp, but this is enough. I think this bottom quote proves he has either ignored the true Gospel or he has no concept of it.
WALLACE: And what about Mitt Romney? And I’ve got to ask you the question, because it is a question whether it should be or not in this campaign, is a Mormon a true Christian? OSTEEN: Well, in my mind they are. Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his savior, and that’s what I believe, so, you know, I’m not the one to judge the little details of it. So I believe they are. And so, you know, Mitt Romney seems like a man of character and integrity to me, and I don’t think he would — anything would stop me from voting for him if that’s what I felt like.

This has stuck in my craw since the interview came out: “I’m not the one to judge the little details of it”
Little details like denying the divinity of Christ, like claiming that the eternal God is actually a man like us who attained exaltation, little details like the claim that Christ was the result of a sexual act? If you can’t judge little details like that, how can you call yourself a pastor, a shepherd, one who is supposed to feed the sheep when you can’t tell the difference between truth and a lie?
“Are Atheists Christians?”
Well, you know, I can’t say, I’ll let God judge that…..
I have had the opportunity to talk to more than a few Osteen fans who take this sort of criticism as judgment of the man rather than discernment about his teaching.
It would merely be sad if he were an elder of an average church in America. I don’t think I can comprehend let alone put in words the depth of evil in having a man with no conviction about the gospel stand as a pastor of the largest “church” in America.
What a glory it would be to hear that Mr Osteen repented of this teaching!
I would settle for him resigning as a pastor and doing something else with his time.
