With Tiger Woods and Woody Austin paired today for the FedEx Cup, it is time to see if Woody has any walkie-walkie to put with his talkie-talkie.
What has been your opinion of the PGA’s version of a playoff? It doesn’t seem very competitive to me; rather, it seems like it will be another Woods blowout. This is the last weekend and as far as I can tell the competition is over unless 4 or 5 of the strangest events happen simultaneously. That doesn’t make for an exciting “playoff” in my opinion. What do you think?

I thought once that Woody was going to be one of my favorites, but…
Woody seems to not have grasped what is obvious to everyone else. Tiger Woods is the greatest player to every play the game.
The other players used to have the same chip on their shoulder that that Woody has, but then yielded to the historical realities of the time we live in… Tiger is Special and he will be treated as something special.
The truth is that Woody shot increadible scores the first two days of the PGS Championship and, “guess what?” he was still three shots behind tiger.
Favorite quote from Woody after being beating 70 to 63 in one tournament.
QUOTE:
I went over his round and over my round, and I outplayed him from tee to green,” Austin said. ”Seven shots I gave up in one round. A person in my position cannot give that man that much cushion. . . .I don’t think anybody plays any better than I do when I’m on. I know that’s crazy, but I can hit any shot anybody in the world can hit. But it’s hard to do when you’re afraid of it — and that’s the fight I have every day.
