I can’t believe those words came from a Christian? Jn14:6 There is one way to believe and to be justified. Why do we accomodate for people who are quote unquote good, there is none good. I like the title Evangelisms rising star what for popularity for accomadating everyone sounds like another seeker community church. Why do people think popularity and success equals truth what a misconception. Truth is in the word and thats what we need to preach. If this is what joel believes, his church is in trouble may we continue preach and teach from the word of God faithfully for we are justified by Faith through grace.
Wow! No wonder he’s got such a big church! This ‘I believe if you’re sincere it doesn’t matter what you believe’ stuff is just liberalism repackaged!
And yet the heart of the Gospel can be explained so simply!
Big difference. Clear as a bell.

The narrow and broad roads – youtube style. Nicely done.
That was one of the worst examples of side stepping a question I have ever seen.
Couldn’t Olsteen have responded after Larry King objected by saying, “Hey, don’t shoot the messenger! I’m not sending anyone to hell. But the Bible does say that Christ is the only way to heaven. If you don’t like that, then that’s your problem!”
The sad thing is most folks at Olsteen’s church wouldn’t know there was anything wrong with what he said – and by the way, God bless Dr. John MacArthur – he is a true hero of the faith.
Where can one go to watch Dr MacArthur’s entire show on Larry King Live? I reach the transcripts of Olsteen…oh it is much worse than that one clip. A Christian from Montana calls soon after this clip and in a very nice way takes little joe to the woodshed.
mike-e,
Joel could not say that, because he does not believe that. Just wander through his website, just don’t eat prior.
Strangely, Joel’s father was a SBC pastor at one time. Do not know why he left the SBC, maybe when many of the Texas churches left.

I sent lots of friends the link to the post on McArthur’s clarity vs the smiling confusion of J. O.
Nice job Fido!
“WOW” sums it up nicely. Good post.
The ultra-feminized Joel obviously believes He shouldn’t “judge” anyone. Since he is so feminized, He would rather see the heathens go to hell than to hurt their little feelings by saying they are going to hell for believing in false gods.
His pansy voice and slight build perfectly match his feminized theology…
Strangely, Joel’s father was a SBC pastor at one time. Do not know why he left the SBC, maybe when many of the Texas churches left.
He left (or was asked to leave) because he started talking in tongues.
I used to attend Lakewood Church back in 1982 when John (Papa) Osteen was the pastor. Back then it only had 5,000 people.
I left, the old man passed away, and the son who, if i’m not mistaken, has a business degree took over the franchise.
The sheep KNOW the Shepherd’s voice…
Pray for Joel and praise God for John McArthur.
If the Joel Osteen clip is stopped at the 31 second mark, he’s doing alright. If you continue listening beyond that you’re left with nothing but confusion about the gospel!
Thank you for posting this. I sent it to a friend of mine who’s an Olsteen fan. She should know better, but now she will know better.
hope so Jane, truly hope so.
