Wow! That guy’s site was a little self serving. Erguncaner.com? A massive picture of himself. Please…..
wow, this is crazy indeed
I really can’t believe they tried to change the format.
Let’s see. Agree to a format in good faith. Later change format and demand the other side accept it without question or comment. When other side balks, call it quits and claim the other side (the nasty scared little calvinist)ran away.
Yep, kinda what I figured would happen with the Caners and Liberty.
So no surprises here.
St brianstine, if you thought the website was “a little self serving”, meet the man. I have met him, listen to him preach and even had an email conversation with the man a few years ago. The ego is bigger in person. Sorry to say.
Jason,
Strictly speaking, Caner was not the one who cancelled the debate. I’m on James’ “side,” so to speak, and find Dr. Caner’s spin disgusting, but I think any tiny obfuscation of the objective facts in this situation will only add fuel to someone’s fire.
Chris
So let me get this straight, chh…
If you enter into agreement with a car dealer to purchase a certain BMW for $35,000, and he delivers you a VW instead, then you have no problem paying a $1,000 cancellation fee when you refuse to accept this “non-negotiable” change by the dealer? According to your logic, you are the one who technically cancelled the contract, aren’t you?
Or are you? Think about it.
I have read the “revised” outline of the debate over on the founders blog.
Even if the times had not changed, I would balk. The caners get more time as they are the affirmative?
Affirmative side, negative side, affirmative side. take a break.
Affirmative side negative side. Break then negative firmative.
Not exhaustive by me by any means, but LU get a big “blutttfff” for this.
Also, have ya’ll noticed that the Caners like to spin and pontificate on their websites, but close the comments.
I have followed this since the spring when the Caners interjected their hateful views on the founders blog. They are typical bullies and cowards. Yes I know some will take exception to that comment. But their actions speak as loud as their words. Yes, they are known by their fruits. And it appears to be rotten. How sad for the body of Christ.
At least I still consider them brothers in Christ. Per their emails to Dr. White, they do not consider me one. Or any Calvinist.
If anyone is interested, Ergun has posted, again, his version of this situation on his blog with more to follow.
